New Globalls bar

The Imagination of Husband and Wife Finally Back on Track and Brought to Life after COVID Set Backs

Patrick and Julie are proud to have opened the new GLOBALLS venue at Brighton Marina, 2 years after setbacks due to COVID-19.

The ambitious new build has seen the former Jimmy’s World Kitchen transformed into an affordable, indoor venue for all the family, soon to home 2 brand new UV mini-golf courses and 2 original competitive games experiences. The new GLOBALLS has already created 24 new, permanent job roles, in addition to a host of contract opportunities given all to Brighton-based artists and contractors.  The project has been a massive undertaking under unprecedented challenging circumstances.

Long before even obtaining the keys to the premises, many of the exhibits were ordered and delivered off site for painstaking hand painting in preparation for the build. Throughout the build, like many other businesses working their way through the pandemic, shortages of materials, escalating price hikes and hold ups in deliveries all caused incredible headaches and hampered the progress. Not to mention running the existing GLOBALLS two golf courses and ensuring social distancing for the safety of everyone, dealing with staff absences and maintaining morale has called for burning the midnight oil on more occasions than Patrick and Julie care to remember.

Never-the-less the results have truly been worth it.  Famously as the first UV mini-golf venue in the UK, the new venue takes the concept to a whole new level. The artwork has to be seen to be believed and with the addition of The Great GLOBALLS – a one-of-a-kind UV cocktail bar serving exclusive cocktails, shots, and sharers, it really is a destination hotspot.

Having 4 children of their own, Patrick and Julie noted “we understand the importance of taking children away from addictive technology and focusing on quality family time instead. GLOBALLS does not have an app for scoring and our staff encourage young guests to add up their own scores in the spirit of friendly competition”.

Although naturally, The Great GLOBALLS cocktail bar is strictly an 18+ venue, the rest of GLOBALLS is inclusive to all generations, suitable for date nights, friends gathering, family outings, birthday parties, hen and stag dos, and every other occasion imaginable! The mantra of the company is that no one should be too old, too young, or too busy to enjoy the company of the people you love doing something bright, colourful, cheerful and fun.

And that is something that GLOBALLS can certainly deliver being a fully immersive experience, with each course theme having an entrancing smell and cleverly curated playlists. There is also the option in the evenings to order selected drinks to the courses, to excite all your senses.  Being a completely unparalleled experience, everything in GLOBALLS is bespoke, hand-painted, and thoroughly considered. While London maybe able to boast there is only one Harrods, we think Brighton can boast with pride there is only one GLOBALLS.

Aquatica mini golf, Carnival Games experience and The Great GLOBALLS bar are now open at 1-5 The Village, Brighton Marina. A brand new Jurassic mini-golf and Paradise Games experience are coming soon in Spring 2022, so keep your eyes out on their social media.

In the meantime, Patrick and Julie are so proud of their cocktail bar they have decided to make it a regular entertainment venue. On speaking with Patrick he said “What better place to be than in Brighton and be able to draw on the local talent and performers to entertain our amazing customers?! Covid has dominated our lives for so long now that we all deserve to let our hair down” and with that in mind…

The Great GLOBALLS bar is set to hold their first ever event night, on Friday 11th February 2022! It promises to be an unforgettable show, with explosive sets from local DJs Woody Cook and Ms Pink, a dragtacular performance from Ru Paul’s Drag Race’s Charity Kase, and an extravaganza of Carnival Performers including Chi Chi Revolver and Boo La Lune!
